ABOUT THE ARCHITECTS

Wake | Floyd is the architectural design team of Damon Wake and Hunter Floyd. Wake | Floyd designs environmentally responsible custom and prefabricated residential and retail architecture. Participatory and responsive, their work is client-, site-, and program-driven, making each project unique and custom tailored to clients.

Damon (right) is an architectural designer and second-generation Phoenician who graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. His goal is to help foster and positively engage local communities through their built environments. A self-declared cinephile and history nerd, he has a love for both hiking and working with his hands -- and dreams of one day finding the perfect Bloody Mary.

Hunter (left) is a registered architect in the state of Arizona who graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Environmental Design.  He has a passion for telling stories in the form of architecture that are inspired by the client and the site.  He is a steadfast urbanist that loves to fly-fish, ski, cook, bicycle, and play with his new daughter.

The 'mobile cinder box,' created for the Cardenas family, is a prototype of the first of its kind—intended for sale internationally. Please contact cinderboxdwelling@gmail.com for sales and more information.
